Why Sleep Out
EveryYouth Sleep Out events are not meant to replicate homelessness, but to raise awareness of what it means to end a long, cold day without the security and comfort we get from our homes. Each year, familiar faces return, not to test themselves again, but for the camaraderie, shared experience, and connection with young people they meet. They choose discomfort to stand in solidarity with those who don’t have the option of going home to warmth, food, and security.
We invite you to step outside your comfort zone and join us for a powerful night of inspiring performances, a delicious dinner from BEYroots, laughter, and community.
Meet Patsy
“Hi, I’m Patsy. I’m a musician and currently studying music in Edinburgh. I’ve been supported by EveryYouth and joined them last year at their Sleep Out.
It was a real pleasure to perform for the first time in front of a big audience; there’s nothing quite like that feeling, slightly nerve‑wracking but incredibly special and rewarding. I also loved meeting everyone taking part in Sleep Out. I truly admire what they do, taking on this challenge isn’t easy, but it’s so important.
I’m really looking forward to performing again this year, and if you’re taking part in Sleep Out, I’m excited to see you in November.”

In 2025, for every £356 spent on front line services, one young person made a tangible step towards building a better life.
Meet Rhys
Last year was my third Sleep Out alongside my Eversheds Sutherland colleagues! The energy and camaraderie are like nothing else; seeing talented young people that have been helped by EveryYouth shine through their performances and hearing their stories firsthand is truly inspiring. Yes, it’s going to be cold; we even slept through a storm last year, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I’m proud to be sleeping out again this year and invite everyone to join me in raising funds with EveryYouth to help change the lives of young people at risk of homelessness.

A Special Thanks to

“Last year was my first Sleep Out. Signing up to take part, and the anticipation of the event was definitely the worst part. Yes, the night was uncomfortable, but it was great to take part with colleagues and learn more about the young people EveryYouth supports. Taylor Wimpey has been proudly sponsoring Sleep Out since 2023, and we’re delighted to support the event again this year. Sponsoring Sleep Out isn’t about lending our name to the event, it’s about enabling EveryYouth to bring together a group of amazing supporters to raise more funds to help young people experiencing homelessness across the UK. Sleep Out isn’t my favourite night of the year – but it’s probably one of the most memorable!!”
